Valentine's Day Special - The Not Newlywed Game

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!! I had to do something special for this day of love; and what better way then to get some couples together? For this game, I've enlisted the main couples from Listening, Ray, and Back to Life to play a little game. . .a Not Newlywed Game. . .hope you enjoy!

******

Stew Winkler: Welcome back to another episode of the Not Newlywed Game. Let's meet today's contestants.

Announcer: Our first couple recently got engaged and are excited to be planning their wedding! He's a grief psychologist from Appaloosa, she's a possible soon-to-be caterer from Lucky Palms. . .Let's welcome, George Davila and Steph Hathaway!

*Applause from the crowd*

Announcer: Next we have the newly dating couple who have known each other their whole lives! He's a political science major from Appaloosa, she's a interior design major also from Appaloosa. . .Let's welcome, Jeff Hobble and Star Randall!

*Applause from the audience*

Announcer: Our last couple isn't even dating yet, but that hasn't stopped them from joining us on the Not Newlywed Game! He's a pro-football quarterback from Appaloosa, she's a sports journalist from Bridgeport. . .Let's welcome, Trevor Davila and Pamela Haines.

*Applause from the crowd*

Stew: Now that we've welcomed our couples, let's go over the rules. . .

Pamela: Umm. . .Stew is it?

Stew: Yes?

Pamela: I umm. . .think there's been some kind of mistake. *motions back and forth with her hands between her and Trev* We're not even dating. . .Let alone we barely talk to each other.

Trev: That'll make it even more fun! *laughter from the audience*

*Pamela chuckles uncomfortably*

Pamela: No, really. . .Trev, this can't go well.

Trev: But if we win, our chapter gets published first. . .

Pamela: *looks at Stew* Really?

Stew: That's right Pamela! There will be two rounds with three questions each, for each question answered correctly, your team receives a point. There's a bonus question at the end where you can determine the points you want to risk, and the team with the most points at the end, gets their chapter/chapters posted first.

George: Chapters? I'm only aware of one for us. . .

Steph: That might have something to do with the fact that someone likes to talk and ours end up being longer.

*Jeff, Star, and Trev laugh as Pam looks confused.*

Pamela: I'm sorry, but do you know these people? *Pam looks at Trev*

Trev: Oh!

Stew: Well, as Trev explains who everyone is, let's hear a word from our Sponsor. . .

Announcer: The Sims - A highly addictive game where you can control computer generated characters and make up crazy stories for them.  Back to you Stew!

Stew: All right, so now that everyone's caught up. . .*looks at Pam and she nods* Let's start the first round. Ladies you'll be answering the questions and writing down your answers on the cards in front of you. Gentleman, you should write down the answer that you think your partner will write down. First question ladies, where were you the first time you saw your partner?

*Awesome writing music plays. Steph chuckles and a huge smile appears on George's face as they write their answers. Star nods and neatly writes her answer while Jeff quickly writes his and places his card down. Pamela raises an eyebrow and Trev smirks as they each write an answer.*

Stew: Alright, Ladies, the question was where were you the first time you saw your partner, Steph?

Steph: *Turns card over* In an alley.

Stew: What did you say, George?

George: *Turns card* In an alley.

*Bells ding, audience applauds, and they kiss*

Stew: One point for our first couple! What about you Star?

Star: *Smiles at Jeff before flipping her card* At my house, when I was five days old.

Stew: Interesting. . .What did you say Jeff?

Jeff: *Turns card* At her house when she was five days old.

*Bells ding, audience applauds, and they smile at each other.*

Stew: Okay! One point for our second couple! What about you Pamela?

Pamela: *slowly turns card over and looks apprehensive* Outside the locker room at ASU.

Stew: I see! What did you say Trev?

Trev: *Flashes a smile as he confidently turns his card* Outside the ASU locker room.

*Bells ding, audience applauds, Pam looks completely confused and Trev is grinning from ear to ear.*

Stew: Next question, Ladies you're waiting at the doctor's office, what magazine do you pick up to look at?

*Groovin' writing music plays, Steph and George quickly write their answers, Star and Jeff immediately write an answer, Trev studies Pam for a minute and then thinks of an answer.*

Stew: We'll start with Star this time, What did you say was the magazine you'd read while waiting in a doctor's office?

Star: *Turns card* "Home and Design."

Stew: Jeff?

Jeff: *Turns card* "Home and Design."

*Bells ding, audience applauds, Star kisses Jeff on the cheek.*

Trev: Is this really fair? They've known each other their whole lives!

Jeff: Afraid you're going to lose, nephew?

*Trev bites the inside of his cheek and turns back to Pam.*

Trev: We have to win. . .

Stew: Not unless you have less points. . .What was your answer Pamela?

Pamela: * turns card* Sports Illustrated.

Stew: Trev?

Trev: *Nods head and turns card* Sports Illustated!!

*Bells ding, audience laughs and applauds, Pam looks shocked and Trev continues to nod*

George: Was that really that hard to figure out?

Trev: Let's see what you got, little bro.

Stew: *looks at camera with a fake smile* What a competitive family we have here today! How about it Steph?

Steph: * Bits bottom lip* Bon Appetite

Stew: George?

George: *Looks at Trev* Bon Appetite

*Bells ding, audience applauds, Steph laughs at George and shrugs at Trev.*

Stew: Final question for this round. Ladies, when you were thirteen, what did you want to be when you grew up?

*More awesome writing music plays. Steph quickly writes her answer while George thinks for a little bit. Star writes down her answer and Jeff writes an answer without giving much thought. Trev looks at Pam completely clueless.*

Stew: Let's start this time with Pamela and Trev. Pamela, when you were thirteen what did you want to be when you grew up?

Pamela: A football coach.

Stew: Ambitious! Trev, what did you say?

Trev: *looks shocked* A football coach. . .*Pam looks at him in disbelief*

Pamela: How. . .

*Trev shrugs his shoulders*

*Bells ding, audience laughs and applauds, and Pam shakes her head*

Stew: Our third couple gets another point and it looks like you got some laughs from the audience, Trev. *Trev smiles and gives a thumbs up* What about you Steph, what did you want to be at thirteen?

Steph: A chef

Stew: George?

George: *Smiles and looks at Steph* A chef

*Bells ding, audience applauds, Steph kisses George*

Stew: Another point for couple number one! What did you say Star?

Star: An artist

Stew: What did you say, Jeff?

Jeff: *Nods and smiles at Star* An artist.

*Bells ding, audience applauds, and Star quickly kisses Jeff.*

George: I have to agree with Trev, this isn't fair. . .they have known each other forever. *motions to Jeff and Star*

Jeff: I don't know what the two of you are complaining about. We're all tied.

Stew: That's right, Jeff, after the first round our couples are tied at three points. We'll take a quick break and see you back in a few moments!

Stew: And we're back! After one round, our couples are tied at three points. It's time for round two where we switch and the men answer the questions and the ladies try to guess their answers. Gentleman, first question, boxers or briefs?

Pamela: You've got to be kidding me.

*Inspiring Muzak music plays. George and Steph both smirk, Jeff shows no emotion on his face while Star blushes with a small smile, Trev looks a little worried before smiling and writing down his answer and Pam writes down an answer quickly*.

Stew: George?

George: Briefs *says at same time turns card*

Stew: What did you say, Steph?

Steph: Briefs

*Bells ding, audience applauds, Steph and George laugh and kiss.*

Stew: That's another point for you two. What did you say, Jeff?

Jeff: *looks over at Star* Briefs. . .

Stew: Was that a question or an answer there, Jeff? What did you say Star?

Star: *Looks sideways at Jeff* Briefs *Jeff quizically looks at her* You just don't look like a boxer kind of guy.

Jeff: * Turns toward her while smiling* And what does a boxer kind of guy look like?

Star: That's not what I meant. *She smiles and places a hand on his*

Stew: Well whatever she meant, you have another point. Trev, boxers or briefs.

Trev: *smirks at Pam* Neither.

Stew: Going rogue, interesting choice, might not help you get a point, but let's find out. Pamela?

Pamela: *Sighs and turns card over* Neither

*Audience laughs and Trev smiles but looks shocked.*

Pamela: Lucky guess.

*Audience and Trev laugh.*

Stew: Well, it looks like our couples are still tied. Next question men, what was the last thing you and your partner argued about?

*Rockin' music plays. George chuckles and Steph looks curiously looks at him before writing their answers, Jeff thinks for a moment before writing while Star quickly writes an answer, Trev and Pam both think before writing.*

Stew: Jeff, we'll start with you this time. What was the last thing you and your partner argued about?

Jeff: *Actually looks slightly embarrassed* Who ate the last cookie.

Stew: Fight over a cookie. . .sounds yummy! What did you say Star?

Star: He ate the last cookie.

*Bells ding, audience claps, and Jeff blinks repeatedly at Star*.

Jeff: You just threw me under the bus. . .*pretends to act hurt*

Star: You were found guilty after a fair trial. *She jokingly looks at him*

Jeff: *laughs* One where you were the judge.

Stew: Sounds like a one sided trial but point for our second couple. What did you say Trev?

Trev: We've never really argued. She barely talked to me before and even though it wasn't friendly when she did, we didn't argue. . .*looks over at Pam and shakes his head before turning his card over.* If I had to choose something, I'd choose me.

Stew: So you're saying your last argument was about you?

Trev: Yeah, I don't have anything else.

Stew: Alright, what did you say, Pam?

Pamela: *Looks confused* Is this rigged? Are we on candid camera?

Stew: No, that's a different show. *audience laughs at cheesy joke*

Pamela: I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I said him. Because, like he said, we haven't been friends really, but we haven't argued. I just found him annoying.

George: I can see that. *Looks at Pam and jokes*

Trev: What the hell, bro?

Stew: Guys, family show.

Jeff: I can see that too. *He also jokes*

Trev: Gloves are off boys. *Pushes up his sleeves.*

*Bells ding, audience laughs and claps, and Trev whispers to Pam that they need to win so they can rub it in their faces.*

Stew: Alrighty then, George?

George: Forgetting to put the toilet seat down.

Stew: Sounds like a messy situation, Steph?

Steph: He forgot to put the toilet seat down.

*Bells ding, audience applauds, George smirks at her.*

Stew: So after five questions, we're still tied. Last question for this round; men, romance or passion?

*Marvin Gaye style music plays. George nods and writes an answer quickly, Steph also writes an answer quickly. Jeff and Star also write answers quickly, Trev and Pam both think and then slowly write answers.*

Stew: We'll start with you, Trev. Romance or Passion.

Trev: *Raises eyebrow at Pam* Most definitely, passion.

Stew: Let's see if Pamela agrees.

Pamela: *Rolls eyes at Trev who's still looking at her the same way* Passion.

*Bells ding, audience claps, and Pam shakes her head and closes her eyes as Trev still looks at her the same way.*

Pamela: I should never have let you talk me into this.

Trev: It's fun, right? Admit it; it's more fun than you thought. . .

*Pam sighs*

Pamela: Maybe a little.

*Trev smiles triumphantly and audience laughs.*

Stew: That's another point for you. George?

George: Romance.

Stew: Did you agree, Steph?

Steph: I did. Romance.

*Bells ding, audience claps, George and her kiss causing everyone to Awww at the same time.*

Stew: What about you, Jeff? Romance or Passion?

Jeff: *looks at Star for a moment and smiles before turning card over* Passion.

Stew: Really? Interesting. What did you say, Star?

Star: *looks at Jeff and knowingly smiles at him as she turns her card* Passion.

*Bells ding, audience claps, Jeff and Star look deep into each other's eyes and smile.*

Stew: Wow, I never would have guessed that. With that, we've reached the end of our second round and it's all tied up at six points each. Which means our bonus question is even more important for these couples. So here's how that bonus question works, each couple will determine how many points they want to risk, you can risk all your points, some, or none. Couples, you have ten seconds to agree on how many points you want to risk. Your ten seconds begin now.

*Clock ticking sounds start. George and Steph very thoughtfully talk and come to an agreement, Jeff and Star show almost no emotion and quickly come to an answer, Trev and Pam passionately discuss their options and come up with a game plan.*

Stew: Time's up. For this question, gentlemen, you will answer and ladies you will guess what your partners answer is. Here's the question, gentlemen, what was the name of the street that you grew up on.

*Sweet 70's disco music plays. George writes an answer while Steph stares at a spot on the floor and eventually writes an answer down, Jeff and Star smile as they both write their answers down, Trev writes his answer and Pam shakes her head as she quickly scribbles something down.*

Stew: George, what did you say?

George: Pinetree Lane

Stew: Sounds woodsy. What did you say Steph?

Steph: *grimmaces* Pinewood Lane

*Buzzer sounds, audience awws, George puts his hand on Stephs*

George: You were close.

Stew: That's too bad. . .how many points did you risk?

Steph: *Shows card* Six

Stew: Oh. . .Ouch. That leaves you with zero points. What about you Jeff?

Trev: They lived next door to each other. You might as well give them the win.

George: I wonder if this was rigged.

Stew: Let's ask the announcer. . .Sandy, was this rigged?

Announcer (Sandy): Absolutely not. . .there's no lightning storms nearby, right?

Stew: Not that I know of.

Announcer: Then no, this was not rigged.

Stew: There you have it, a not so very convincing answer from our announcer, Sandy. Back to Jeff, what was your answer?

Jeff: Appaloosa Way *Smiles and nods at Sandy*

Stew: I'm guessing you had the same answer, Star?

Star: *Smiles at Sandy and then Jeff* Appaloosa Way.

*Bells ding, audience cheers, Jeff and Star can't contain themselves, and kiss.*

George: You do know if you'd missed that you never would have lived it down. *George looks at Star.*

Star: Why would I miss such an easy question. . .*Jokes and chuckles*

Stew: How many points did you two risk?

Star: *Shows card.* Six

Stew: That gives you twelve points! It comes down to Trev and Pamela.

Trev: There's not a snowball's chance in. . .

Stew: Family show. . .

Trev: Let's just save you the time, Stew. *Looks at Pam.* Did you have any idea that I grew up on Pinetree Lane?

Pamela: Uh. . .no.

Stew: Well, you didn't win, but did you beat George and Steph. . .? How much did you risk?

Pamela: *Slowly turns card over* Five.

Trev: YES!!!!

George: You know you didn't win, right?

Trev: We beat you!  *Grabs Pam and hugs her. Pam looks really uncomfortable and he releases her* Sorry.

Stew: That ends another episode of the Not Newlywed Game which may or may not have been rigged, and showed us just how competitive this family is. Congratulations Jeff and Star, you're chapters will be released first. . .*looks over at announcer who has conveniently slipped away* We'll see you next time.

*Theme music plays, audience claps, fade out to commercial*

From George, Steph, Trev, Pamela, Jeff, and Star. . .

  1. LOL, they certainly do know each other well, I think it might have been rigged, hehe. XD
Interestingly enough, though, it gave Pamela and Trevor a chance to see they really know each other better than they thought they did.

    1. Sorry it took so long to reply! I hope you're doing well!

Lol! It might have been rigged a little. . . :D Pam and Trev know enough about each other that they think they really do know each other. Did that make sense? lol! They know the person that each one of them shows everyone else but don't know much about who the other really is underneath.
