I promise that I'm back and am working on the next Listening chapter! There are several lots that I need to download and decorate for pictures. But once that's done I'll be able to get to work on putting the chapter together.
Sorry it's been so long!
I've been posting George and Steph stuff on my Simblr. Things that have been going on with them between the last chapter and this upcoming one. If your interested, you can check them out here. They're all tagged "Between Chapters." I have a couple queued up for later today.
I'm hoping that if all goes well, I'll have a chapter posted by the end of this week or early next week. Fingers crossed!!

Update on Stories
Wow! It’s been way too long! It’s amazing how fast time passes when
you’re busy! That’s what happened with me. I got incredibly busy,
craziness ensued, and about a month ago I looked at Listening and saw
that it had been months since I posted a chapter.
So here’s the short version of what’s been going on (at least I’ll try to make it a short one), I basically volunteer full time in my kids’ schools. I work all day long, come home, and I’ve had no motivation to get pictures for chapters. Then when things slowed down this summer, my laptop acted like it was going to die. I was fortunate to get a new one and then I had the fun task of transferring files. I’m an organization fanatic and all of the file transferring allowed me the chance to reorganize everything which took way longer than I thought it would.
But somehow in all that craziness I was still able to write. I wrote for George, Jeff, but mostly for Trev. He needed it since his story was just starting up. So I have all these chapters for the three stories with no pictures. Two weeks ago, I started to venture in game again and have been gradually working on getting pictures for all four blogs and my Simblr. And glory be, I finally feel like I’m at a place where I can breath a little and get some chapter pics. Specifically Trev chapter pics. I’m working on his next two chapters and then George will get married. Poor George! He’s been married on paper forever! Lol!
Anyway, I just wanted to give an update since I dropped off the face of the Earth. I’m crossing my fingers that Trev’s chapters will be out this week. :) George. . .well it’s a wedding chapter and we all know how time consuming those can be to get pictures for. ;)

A Thousand Pardons!!!
I am sooooo sorry I have been away for so long!!! We were snowed in for a couple weeks, kids had no school for that whole time, and I had 16 reports I needed to write while the kids were home from school. . .Not the funnest time. Loved having the kids home, but the reports. . .UGH!
So I've had no time to write or read anything until yesterday. But now that things have calmed down (as much as they can around here), I'm in the process of editing Jeff's chapters (4 total), Writing Trev's next (almost done), and in order for George's to come out, I have to get the other two stories out (since things happen that go along with George's. . .that will make sense later, after I publish the chapters). Anyway, I'm hoping to have Jeff's out by this weekend. Trev's by early next week, and George's by mid next week. That's the plan anyway. Lol!

Story Update
Just wanted to give an update since it's been since Christmas. I'm currently downloading what I need for George's next chapter and I have a "almost final" edit of the chapter (it's not final until after it's published. Lol). I'm hoping to have this chapter out by Saturday possibly Sunday at the latest. There's certain chapters that sometimes come along and they require more cc, poses and set building and this one of those.
Thanks for your patience. I think you'll be happy once it's finally released. :)

Some notes before the next chapter
I debated about including these notes in the actual chapter but I decided to put them in a post. I'm planning on posting the next chapter today or tomorrow but before I do, I thought I'd share one of the reasons it's taken me so long to post this chapter.
My game was running slow, and when I say slow, I mean sssslllloooowwww. It would lag whenever I tried to turn to get a better view for a picture and if I went into CAS. . .I literally wanted to pull my hair out for how long it took to load all the clothes/hair.
I was desperate to get the game running smooth again so I started looking up how to compress package files. I was a little skeptical if it would actually work, but I figured if it didn't, I could always just go back to the old way the files were stored and begin pulling my hair out again.
I was beyond happy when after compressing files I started the game (took little time), loaded a saved George game (again, took the fraction of the time it had been before compressing), and went into CAS. . .It was almost like I had a brand new game!
With that, I realized that I might be able to turn up some of the graphic settings on the game; one of which was the sims details. And oh my goodness!!! It was like I was seeing them for the first time!!! They still look the same, just clearer and you can actually really see Steph's freckles!!!! (it's not like the one time in Bridge's generation where I tried a new skin and they looked too different).

So after this, if you're looking at George, Steph, Trev, any of the characters and are thinking "They look different." That's why. If anyone is interested in doing this, here's the link to the website I referred to when I was trying to figure this all out.

I will warn, that if you do this, it's recommended that you not compress worlds, mods (the ones that change the game), and any sims store content. (I also didn't compress lots). It's also a good idea to back up your download folder and packages folder before attempting to make any changes to them (that way if something messes up, you have the original folders to put back into the game).
And while I was poking around trying to find info about compressing files, I stumbled back across the "anti-glare" lighting mod and some other color lighting mods. I don't know why I fought this for so long, but I finally gave in and installed them and some may notice a difference in the sky and that the annoying glare is gone from the pictures (Thank God!).

George's next chapter coming soon, but. . .
I've been gradually working on George's next chapter, but I've also been mulling over Trev's ever since I posted the poll about his story.
From the poll I learned two things:
1) There are readers who want George's story to continue without knowing what happens in Trev's story. . .
AND
2) There are readers who do want to know Trev's story.
Duh, right! lol!
Obviously, I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't interested in telling it. . .so after contemplating for a little while, here's my compromise; I will tell Trev's story but it will have it's own blog so that way George's story can continue on it's way to the 4th generation and I can tell Trev's story (but separately). Pretty much the same way that Jeff's story works.
Am I insane for writing a legacy and 2 other side stories? Probably. lol I will say this though, Listening is always the main story and is my main focus. The side stories are extra so their chapters will be done as time permits.
In the meantime, if you are interested, I've gone ahead and published Trev's blog (still quite a bit to do). If you'd like to take a peek, you can go to the new tab above for Side Stories and scroll down to his, or you can just click the link below.

That crazy thing called real life. . .
Oh my goodness! I can't believe I'm posting on here! I feel like I've been gone forever and I am so sorry!! Long story short, my children started school in early August and ever since about mid-July I've been volunteering at their school. I basically am living at their school. It's wonderful and fulfilling but I get home and I'm so exhausted that all I want to do is lay on the couch and watch this guy:
Can you blame me? lol! It's like the movie "Groundhog Day." Same thing over and over again. Wake up at 5:45, go to school, work till the afternoon, come home, help kids with homework, cook dinner, spend some time as a family, get kids ready for bed, and then I fall on the couch and watch the gorgeous Colin O'Donoghue.
But my time requirement at school is becoming less and less and it looks like real life is finally settling down. Yay! I was even able to open up the Sims game and take some pictures a little while ago.
So here's the deal. This story and A Ray of Sunshine aren't going anywhere. I will write these stories for as long as it takes to tell them. But there may be times during this school year that I disappear for a little bit because my work load has increased (Or because Colin has distracted me with his ability to make guyliner look good). But fear not, I will always return with new chapters, to read your stories, and talk on aim (sorry aim friends! I miss you all!).
I'm hoping to have a new Listening and Ray chapter out in the next couple days. I hope they are worth the wait and I can't thank you enough for reading them and for your patience.

A Little Heads Up
We're getting very close to the end of Bridge's story (I'm really sad about this. I've loved writing for her). There are only two more, what I would call, regular chapters and then I plan to post the final chapter and an epilogue together. So that's really only three more to go. I'm trying my best to not rush posting the remainder; tying to give people a chance to catch up, but it's getting really hard. I was hoping to post one a week but there's no way I'm going to be able to drag this on for three weeks!!
